Musculoskeletal Research

Children and young adults are affected by diseases that occur during skeletal maturation. These are pathologies that may be  exacerbated by high impact sports activities, ischemic events or genetic predisposition (e.g. Juvenile Osteochondritis Dissecans (JOCD), Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) of the hip, Legg Calve Perthes Disease (LCPD), CMRR investigators develop and refine sequences that are capable of capturing all signals from the musculoskeletal system, including those of extremely fast relaxing spins (SWIFT, UTE), such as from bone, tendons and ligaments. Our long term goal is to develop translational research that is capable of predicting and improving patient outcomes.
